Enter prescription orders into computer for filling.
Fill prescriptions according to quality standards, productivity guidelines and State Board of Pharmacy Regulations.
Enter prescription orders using an imaged prescription.
Verify all information is complete on the prescription.
Communicate with skilled nursing facilities to clarify orders.
Send incomplete, unclear or rejected prescription to appropriate nursing facility for resolution.
Update patient profile with all the necessary information from prescription.
Ensure that patient’s allergies, therapies, and current medication are updated regularly in patient profile history.
Perform pre-packaging of medications according to standard procedures.
Prepare drug kits under direct supervision.
Assist with finding lost or missed orders on request.
Log order status and delivery.
Provide support for other pharmacy groups as needed.
Address customer issues and inquiries as required.

There are good jobs for data entry pharmacy technician it's a good growing field. It was nothing 2 years ago but now it has come on moderate level. It's growing.
